Horseback Riding & Stable

The Village Club offers boarding for its members' horses in 27 stalls and at least 6 paddock spaces. In addition, the Village Club owns several school horses which are available for rental for members to use during lessons or trail rides. The Village Club has an outdoor riding arena which is useable throughout the year. The Highline Canal trail system is easily accessible from the Club property and provides miles of beautiful trails for riding. Members may also ride or trailer their horses to the club to use the facilities, participate in instruction or join friends for recreational riding.

Stabling:
Stalls: $380.00 per month
Pasture: $275.00 per month

Above fees include grain, hay, salt blocks, turnout and blanketing. Owner is responsible for all other supplements. Littleton Large Animal Clinic & Equine Hospital handles all veterinary work. Farrier services are billed directly to owner. Only Village Club members may use the riding facility.

Year-round Riding Lessons: Riding lessons are available year round for Village Club Members, based on the ring times assigned to the various instructors. There are a variety of instructors and horses available to help one achieve one's riding goals. All lessons, with the exception of the Summer Riding Program, should be arranged individually with instructors who determine cost. Please check the Rider Information Board in the Barn Lounge for riding instructor names, instruction times and phone numbers, or call Anne Baer at 303-850-0693.

Summer Riding Program: Specifically tailored for beginners, the Summer Riding Program at the Village Club is a structured series of lessons designed to be progressive in nature. For more information, contact Riding Instructor Nancy Sachs at 220-5544.

Junior & Adult Summer Riding Program:
Consists of 4 Sessions beginning in June
4 lessons per week, 1 hour in length

Barn Hours: 7:00 am - 8:00 pm

Arena Hours: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm

Barn Rules are posted in lounge in upper barn.

Pony Club: The Village Club is home to the Platte Valley Pony Club ("P.V.P.C"), the largest and oldest Pony Club in Colorado. Organized in 1956 as a member of the national U.S. Pony Club organization, P.V.P.C. is founded on the principles of the British Pony Club, the purpose of which is to provide the fundamentals of horsemanship education, equitation and sportsmanship.

Membership is open to Village Club members and non-members. Weekly meetings are held in the Stone Building on Sunday evenings from January to May. Several riding days are held at the Village Club on Fridays in early summer. In addition, Pony Club members may also compete at "Quiz" in spring and the Pony Club Rally in June, as well as participating in the Halloween Costume Parade and the Holiday Party at the Village Club.
